True Bong

I'm citizen from Bong (Bellemu, panta Kpai District), I'm very much astonished that this organisation doesn't reflect the true Bong interm of ethnic diversity, which bonds us together for long period of time. I'm student in Uk

2007 Convention

The 2007 Conference is turning out to be the most well attended conference. Pre-registration is going very well. Don't be left behind. Come join your fellow Bong citizens on May 25-27 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Roselyn's Concern

Roselyn: I do understand your concerns about Jewel Taylor and respect your decision not to contribute at this time. But please understand that Jewel does not own Bong County. Nothing the United Bong does has any connection to her. Projects we understand are intended to help our people and make us viable partners for the rebuilding of Bong County. Therefore, I hope you do reconsider your decision.

Newspaper article

I'm a reporter for a newspaper in Oregon, writing a story about two little girls who have been adopted by a local family from Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia. I'd like to talk to someone from the association about Bong County, to get background and to learn more about the place that the girls spent the first six years of their lives. Please e-mail me at mtheriault@statesmanjournal.com , if you'd like to help. Thank yyou very much!

How to become mem

I appreciate all your efforts, but I live in the Netherlands, how can I become member? I assume the intention for this association is to bring Bong county citizens together no matter where they are. Thanks for your very good work

Let us work together

I am citizen of Bong county with few little investments in Liberia especially in Bong County. By the grace of God we have manage to ship five (5) 40" containers in the last six years. It is not always the best to explain about one achievement toward his country men. My reason for writing this note is that, I have few issues with people who destructively critize others politically. I am speaking about people who are using this wonderful organization to critize Sen.Jewel Horward Taylor. Let us not forget that while we were here, it was our People in Bong County that voted this lady into office. Therefore, let us work with her for the betterment of our County regardless of the many obstacles (including the U.N."travel ban")that are preventing her from seeking opportunities for the County and it people. I am little disappointment in our officials for promoting disunity in the county and lack of trust in each other. I am hoping to join my fellow citizen for this year conferece. Also I may bring few others.

Jewel Taylor is a loser.

Jewel Taylor is a loser; I am not participating in her tele conference. I will wait for her to leave office(in 8 years)before I contribute a dime. But I will continue to work with Garnett Gbamokollie.

If you did listen to Sen. Taylor's interview with Radio Free Liberia, what are your thoughts on her charges against United Bong.

Request for an audience with Chairman of your Org.

I would like to speak with the leader of your organization. I am from Nimba and have been writing a lot of articles about Mittal Steel. Nimbaians are concerned about how many companies like DELINCO (BMC), LAMCO, LMC and others exploited our counties without benefits. We have started an initiave to petition our law makers to introduce and pass a Mineral Act that will not only make provisions for local benefits but also make way for protecting our environment. Please contact me at 763-370-2410 or at yigasa@yahoo.com

THANKSGIVING DAY is set aside to avoid an excuse for all to reflect on the things that deserve thanksgiving. We can thank God each day, indeed every hour, but this day allows us to thank God for life itself, for health, family, opportunity, the country from which we came, the country to which we came, the lives sacrificed to secure the freedoms in those countries since freedom is not free. This is a time to encourse each other not to neglect to look back.

Thanksgiving

Mr. President, Thanksgiving is an important virtue of human kind. I truly believe that it should not be about what one has in his pocket, but what he has in his heart. Also, we could be of help to others in celebrating thanksgiving by taking concrete action.

What Are You Thankful About?

Thanksgiving is a time of thanksgiving for many things; life in general, achievements, deliverance, etc. What are you thankful about on this Thankgiving? How can we, as a community association, help the less fortunate ones celebrate thanksgiving?
