Our Mission
Like other political subdivision of Liberia, Bong County was severely affected by the two-decade old civil war.
We recognize the damages caused by the senseless conflict, not only to infrastructures in the county, but also to humanity. The United Bong County Association also recognizes that a strong partnership requires a united front, and shall seek to build a united and strong Bong County community. It shall become an active partner in the reconstruction of our county and country, and shall assist in promoting activities that will help to strengthen the peace in Liberia. Also, the United Bong County Association in the Americas, Inc. shall endeavor to enhance educational, cultural, social and health ties among the peoples of Bong County, the Republic of Liberia and the Americas. Realizing that we have to function within the framework of political decisions, the Association shall, at the directive and/or approval of its Board of Directors, issue position statements, when it deems necessary, in order to address those political decisions that affect our lives and programs.
The Association shall remain objective in providing a medium through which citizens of Bong County residing in the Americas can address their common concerns. It shall enhance social unity, and strive to preserve cultural ties amongst us. The Association shall strive for the enhancement of the welfare of it members, as well as people within its operating communities.
Finally, the Association will continue to promote and preserve our patriotic ties with our Motherland, Liberia. In short, it is our mission is to build an association that will become the symbol and pride of the Bong County community in particular and the Liberian community.
