UBCAA Women’s Empowerment Program
Women’s empowerment remains at the absolute core of the UBCAA mandate. For over a decade, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to developing high-impact programs and activities that unite the Bong County diaspora, celebrate the achievements of women and girls, and systematically address the critical socio-economic challenges facing our community—both in the Americas and across the Bong County corridor in Liberia.
Our Vocational & Home-Economics Intervention
The UBCAA Sewing and Home-Economics Skills Program is a strategic initiative designed to provide rural women and girls with the technical tools required to achieve Macro-Economic Participation. To date, this intervention has successfully empowered over 65 underprivileged young women and girls, equipping them with the practical skills necessary for financial self-sufficiency.
Scaling
While our impact to date has been transformative, the scale of the economic marginalization in rural Bong County demands a more robust response. Under our 2026 Sustainability Roadmap, we have set a bold institutional target: to scale our Women’s Empowerment Program to reach over 1,000 rural women and girls by 2030.
To achieve this milestone of regional resilience, we are seeking targeted donations and institutional partnerships. Your contribution is not a gift; it is a Capital Investment in transforming the lives of Bong County’s women and girls.
By funding the expansion of our training centers, the procurement of industrial equipment, and the provision of micro-seed capital, you are ensuring that 1,000 families move from dependency to dignity.
